Congratulations UVa in Perú Fall Participants!
This fall promises to be a wonderful one for the program. We are thrilled to have such an impressive group of participants with a diversity of backgrounds and interests.
We look forward to engaging in the multitude of unique learning opportunities Peru offers with you, and are excited to meet many of you at the upcoming Peru-specific orientation meeting. The date and time of the meeting will be sent to you via e-mail. (This meeting is a required event for UVa students, but non-UVa students are welcome to attend). PLEASE NOTE that UVA students are ALSO required to attend one ISO Pre-departure Orientation meeting. ISO Pre-departure Orientations will take place April 12 and April 15, both 6 - 7:30pm in Maury Hall 209. Students may attend either the April 12 or April 15 meeting.

COMMITMENT: You must confirm your participation by April 20, 2010 . To do so, login to your application and click the “COMMIT” button. If you are not able to participate, please login to your application and click the “DECLINE” button so that other students may be accepted. Students who fail to commit within this timeline will be automatically withdrawn from the program, and students on the waitlist will be accepted.
POST-ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS: Post-Acceptance Requirements are due by May 1, 2010. Exception: The ‘Travel Information’ requirement should only be completed once students are instructed by the ISO to make arrangements and should include both your group flight information as well as information for your travel to and from the group flight departure location.
PAYMENT: Program costs are available online on the Budget Sheet. Students are responsible for study abroad tuition and program fees once they have committed to attending a program. Committed students are registered in SIS by the ISO; bills are then visible in the SIS self-service and are payable to Student Accounts. Students may review the Withdrawal and Refund Policy at any time in their application.
PRE-DEPARTURE ORIENTATION: Participation at Pre-Departure Orientation is a required step prior to studying abroad. Information regarding the Peru-specific Pre-Departure Orientation date and time will be emailed to students. Non-UVA students will be contacted with information from the meeting. UVA students are required to attend both the Peru-specific as well as an ISO Pre-departure Orientation. ISO Orientations will occur April 12 and April 15, 2010.
